Date & Time Calculators

Working Days Calculator

Count the working days between two dates, excluding weekends and any public holidays you specify.

About the Working Days Calculator

A working days calculator counts only the productive weekdays between two dates, skipping Saturdays and Sundays. It is ideal for estimating project timelines, leave planning and delivery windows.

You can also enter a number of public holidays to subtract, and switch between a five-day and six-day working week.

How to use the Working Days Calculator

  1. Choose a start date and end date.
  2. Enter the number of public holidays in that range (optional).
  3. Select whether Saturday is a working day.
  4. Click Count Working Days.

How the calculation works

Working days = Weekdays in range − Public holidays

Example

Between 1 June 2026 and 30 June 2026 there are 22 weekdays. Subtract 1 public holiday and you get 21 working days.
